George Stang

 

 George Stang was raised in Sussex County, New Jersey where he spent much time working on his grandparents’ dairy farm. He is a retired conservation specialist with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service where he assisted private landowners (both farmers and nonfarmers) throughout the northeastern U.S. to develop and implement soil , water, and wildlife conservation plans on their properties. He was also involved in writing specifications for a number of best management practices. In addition he served as a guest instructor in soil and water conservation topics at various functions for school groups and other organizations.

Education: BS in forest management, Clemson University, Certifications: Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) Certified in Permaculture Design, Certified Conservation Planner

George is also a member of PASA and NOFA-NY
